Lions Clubs seek to recognize exceptional young people for the outstanding voluntary work  that they have done in their community. Each Lions Club has the opportunity to identify one young person from their local community and put them forward to a District Competition. Young Ambassador candidates must have reached their 15th but not their 19th birthday by 30th June. The winning candidate is recognized by Club and District and then goes forward to the Multiple District Competition in February each year. The winner of the MD competition receives a bursary of £100 and a Silver Rose Bowl trophy and goes on to represent the MD at the Europa Forum. All MD entrants receive a £500 bursary.
